Red face Nokin 7610 And PC Suite - 06-15-2008, 01:15 PM

Hi

When I connect my Nokia 7610 to my WinXP Pro SP2 PC, Nokia PC Suite refuses to see it and I cannot back the thing up.

I installed both the driver and PC Suite from the supplied CD and think all everything has installed Ok because the PC plays its usual "dee-deet" when I connect the phone and I get no errors. In addtiton I have an extra device in My Computer called Nokia Phone Browser".

When I start Nokia Content Copier v2.0 and select to make a backup of my phone, it says that no supported phone is connected even though my 7610 is connected to the PC. When I click the Select Phone button, I see a blank list so I click the Connection button to check that USB is checked. I see that it is checked so I am at a loss at to why PC Suite cannot see it.

Do I need a newer version of the PC Suite? That would be strange as this is the one that was installed from the CD. Do I need to do something on the phone?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Patrick
